A Passionate Thirst

A Passionate Thirst

Poem by Bobbi Sinha-Morey

A lasting love allows passion to
live on whether it be the inner
beauty of your soul or the love
inside your heart fluttering like
gypsy moths or bright thoughts
that spill over in your spirit and
your eyes. Think of dandelions
and how each holds the shining
secret of maple trees. Never lose
the passion that lives on inside;
seize it like it's the greatest gift
to be alive; think of it as water
for without it you'll only die.
Imagine the wondrous feeling
of the wind wrapping itself
around you, holding you captive
in it's warm splendor, and read
the map in God's hand, listen
to the flowing river in the privacy
of a dream. Follow hidden paths
to see where they lead, never lose
your passionate thirst for living.
