Extra Supermoon

Poem by Petrouchka Alexieva

Large red crusty pita bread
Rolls high on the late summer sky.

The scared fluffy silver clouds
Closely tied to protect each other
From the bright orange light.

From all super-moons she is the queen of all.
The ocean mirror admires her face,
Her enchanted perigee
Whispers wonders and mystery.

The bodyguards of the whole universe,
The winking stars, escort her behind
when she silently lifts the midnight tides.

The brightest supermoon to ever grace
Collects her charisma for seven decades
And brings only two hours of her royal appeal,
But she is Her Majesty, the supermoon queen.
