Flash Fiction by Phil Temples

When Sydney saw the out-of-control semi-tractor-trailer hurtling toward him down the sidewalk, he knew he was doomed. He assumed his life would flash before his very eyes, and he’d re-live precious moments like his high school graduation, marriage, the birth of their first son, and later, the grandchild. But instead, he was left with an extreme feeling of regret over the sink full of dirty dishes at home. He promised his wife they would be washed and put away the night before. Mildred is gonna be pissed.
