Frightened Rabbits

Allegory, Absurdity, and the Things We Vigorously Deny

April 2, 2026

/ / /

It was suggested,
and vigorously denied.

… despite several people,
including Nicanor Parra,
posing as a mummy.

These rabbits
- these blue-collar rabbits -
are convulsing,
having heard an allegory …

Now let’s tie this all together, lest the freewheeling nature of my novel, and the hyperbolic use of the word allegory, has tired you out enough to produce a light skin cancer, barely above the neck …

The explanation is that my mother was a bricklayer,
just as her mother was before her.

In hurrying to finish up,
I seem to have lost my notes.

Was I mentioning moral or morale, mortar, or martyrdom?
