Hallowed

Quatrain by Thompson Emate

Hallowed is this place,
Embracing is this space,
Hope takes its seat,
The lost comes to greet.

Look into the mirror of freedom,
Turn the pages of wisdom,
Bring your heart's gloom,
Let light enter its room.

The vessels tell a story,
A path some took to glory,
A symphony plays until it fades,
Gloom is dispersed in all its shades.

I'll seek the Guiding light in this temple,
I'll come plain and simple,
I'll journey to the light,
I'll arise and fight.

Thompson Emate spends his leisure time on creative writing particularly poetry and prose. He has a deep love for nature and the arts. His poems can be seen in Poetry Soup, Poetry Potion, Visual Verse and Voice.club. He lives in Lagos, Nigeria.
