Nostalgia's Embrace

Poem by MAOIs

To the girl I don't know, yet somehow I do,
In that cage of yore, where life felt askew,
A prison of doubt, where you silently grew,
But my dear, now's the time to break through.

No keys, no permissions, no need for the cue,
Just knowing you're destined for skies pure and blue,
In freedom, you've soared, as dreams once withdrew,
This girl, unshackled, bid farewell, it's true.

Feathers aloft, a symbol of your grace,
A reminder of moments, a familiar face,
In laughter's warm glow, we found our place,
Realizing mid-joy, the love we embrace.

And if ever you ponder, my presence unclear,
Wondering if I'm near or if my voice you can't hear,
Remember, my friend, there's no 'gift,' no veneer,
Our bond remains strong, no matter how distant or near.

Life's lessons have shown, I've evolved, it's clear,
In energies felt, I've learned without fear,
No need to rise up, for I'm already here,
In unconditional love, there's nothing to adhere.

From where I reside, protection I extend,
As a guardian spirit, I'm here, to defend,
No requests, no conditions, no need to amend,
A silent plea for your forgiveness, my dear friend.

I guide you within, to find harmony anew,
Lifting your head, to the sun's vibrant view,
No more stumbling in the rain's harsh debut,
Together, we'll paint a sky, an azure debut.

Thinking of us, 'falling' might come into sight,
But falling no more, our love takes its flight,
On paths of affection, stretching through day and night,
Two planes entwined, like stars in the moon's soft light.

I went to war, battled my own inner strife,
In struggles and strife, we danced through life,
Push and pull, then, at last, let go of the knife,
The shadows may hide, but they won't steal your life.

Don't fret over those who don't care for your flame,
Support surrounds you, a nurturing claim,
Be kind to yourself, for you're not the same,
Unique and resplendent, let your spirit proclaim.

Believe in your worth, let your confidence ignite,
Respect yourself first, and the world takes flight,
I wish you to be free, to shine ever so bright,
Even when I'm gone, a piece of me takes flight.

In oceans vast, your dreams shall unfurl,
In forests lush, a fresh start's gentle swirl,
In sky's canvas, stars eternally twirl,
My presence endures, in nature's grand unfurl.

In winds that may rage, or gently console,
A drop of rain, your thirst shall extol,
I'll soak you with love, and, when you're whole,
Find shelter in warmth, in my heart, in your soul.

I'll be your warmth in moments of chill,
The songs of comfort, when doubts try to spill,
A guiding turn, when your path's uphill,
In lost wanderings, I'll be your still.

Invisible I may be, in shadows or light,
Yet, inches away, in the calm of the night,
In your heart's language, the truth takes its flight,
Guided by love, we'll find the way, it's right.

In some multiverse, I'll fight to be near,
In the haze of memory, a presence sincere,
Living within you, though the vision's unclear,
In your heart, I'm eternally dear.

And on those empty nights, when longing does start,
I reach for my heart, where your memory imparts,
We reunite, old times, where love plays its part,
In nostalgia's embrace, forever in our heart.
