The Seahorse That I Am

Poem by Dodie

I am the seahorse you can’t see
With my boney outer layer
I’m in the warm shallow water

I hide within the vegetation
Not to be seen by anyone
I feel others think I’m contagious

I cannot out swim you
And the waves might roll me away
But today I survive another day

Dodie is a shy, quiet woman who likes to write poetry to help express how she feels.
