The Seahorse That I Am

I am the seahorse you can’t see
With my boney outer layer
I’m in the warm shallow water
 
I hide within the vegetation
Not to be seen by anyone
I feel others think I’m contagious
 
I cannot out swim you
And the waves might roll me away
But today I survive another day
