Free Verse Poem by Liana Cass
blinded by mirages of headlights on cold concrete suffocated by the song of agonizing entropy enthralled with kinder thunder younger bellies feel less hunger than mine when just alone an hour left with your memories to devour your spit has me homesick your scent drags me to the door I’d fall over for lifetimes just to be your bag of bones visceral anhedonia drips from freezer burnt feet walking on my broken hearts ‘til the last one stops to beat

Fantastic images from this poem. Losing someone is always tough, especially long term relationships where their “scent” permeates every waking minute. From a 73 year old to a college student: you are wise beyond your years. Look forward to reading more from you.
