Some women are April breezes,\nwafting across a green lawn.\nSwaying crisp white sheets\nhanging in the sunshine,\non a country line.\nSome women are cold November.\nDrafts whispering with damp voices,\nthrough cracks in hollow walls.\nSome are the maelstrom leaving,\ndevastation in their mad wake.\nOthers, a hot desert wind\nthat carries the scent of\nexotic spice to your tongue.\nSome women howl like the North Wind.\nBlowing down walls in their path.\nPaving the way for a calm day,\nwhere damaging winds\ndon\u2019t blow and clouds paint\na still life in the sky.<\/pre>Poet\/writer\/ filmmaker Moe Phillips<\/a> is a native New Yorker with over 40 poems and essays published in anthologies for children and adults.
